🌓 Nadītu Šēdu: The Devoted Flame
A Full Moon Rite of Lilithian Embodiment and Lunar Sovereignty
April 12, 2025 at 8:22 PM
Before the temples of Babylon gleamed beneath the stars, there were the Nadītu—sacred devotees who lived in spiritual seclusion, tending to the mysteries of moonlight and flame. They were not bound by marriage or hierarchy. They served no one but the gods and their own sovereign spirits.
In the Temple of Lilith, we honor this ancient current—not to reenact tradition, but to embody its essence. Lilith, as High Nadītu and Keeper of the Devoted Flame, calls to all who walk the path of self-initiation, regardless of gender. She awakens the inner fire in those who refuse to kneel and who choose to burn instead.
This Full Moon, we do not shed—we awaken.
We do not ask for power—we remember it.
Through sacred ritual, breath, and stillness, we enter the spiral of becoming. The šēdu, the spirit within, is not a thing to conquer—but to tend, to honor, and to rise with.
We anoint our bodies as living altars.
We chant not to summon power, but to become it.
All who hear the call of Lilith are welcome in this rite.
Step forward. The flame is waiting.
